The Feminism Talk
I'm a shitty blogger
I like to believe that for most bloggers it's idea first before actually creating a blog but here I am...
With a blog and zero ideas on what to write about, all I know is that I like to talk,
Talk about just anything and every talker needs listeners.
In my bid to make you an ardent listener
I've decided to write about trending issues or issues I feel should be of concern or of note.
A rising trend is this feminism thing! And yeah "this feminism thing" already gives a good hint how I feel about it.
I don't quite understand and I don't think the very women or men who support it do either coz there are too many sides to it.
Wait...just before you make that face
Here's what I mean
I've asked around and read about it and here's some of what I know
Feminism is a belief or a movement that supports gender equality
Yeah.in a nutshell it's just gender quality having a "female" name but then again humans, being what we are take things to the extreme.
Firstly, I don't think it's crazy to say men and women aren't equal. We aren't, I see it to mean that men and women are built differently;mentally and physically and this goes a long way to confer which opportunities suit one gender or the other. As it is for all views, there's a borderline;it stems from exceptions in qualifications. Some women beat nature in being overly qualified for a task a man should naturally excel in and if that's the case then There's no need to withhold responsibilities from the lady.
And about extremes, this is the bewildering part
Here's an example from the very many.
Paris Jackson. Daughter of half the 90's kids "wanna be when I grow up" , Michael Jackson brands her nude photo on IG as being feminist. I quote her
"Feminism is being able to express yourself in your own way, whether it's being conservative and wearing lots of clothes or showing yourself."
Really now???
Even if a man goes butt naked , wouldn't it generate as much tension if not worse .
I'm not against going naked as long as it's not my nakedness. My point is people shouldn't brand feminism for what it's not.
I believe that women should not be treated less and given ample opportunities.
They should be loved tenderly and cared for but women shouldn't overreach so Feminism can retain its proper definition.
