The word,JUST

"Gosh you're now fat, don't worry all you need to do is JUST... ",
"Oh no, you're failing a class don't worry JUST... ",
"You need money JUST... " .
 It's funny how one word can trivialize a person's problem. How it can make your struggles seem inconsequential.

 In a country where people just lovvvveeee to give unsolicited advice and somersault into conclusions, this is a word I'm only too used to hearing. Now I know it's 'JUST' a word (see what I did there) but don't people see or understand how belittling that one word is.
How is it belittling?
Let me explain
It is because the environment interacts with everyone differently.
I'm a curious Chap, I like to try things and know what they feel like. I know it's not safe but that's the way I am.
I've tried binge drinking, partying, gambling, smoked paper and the real stuff but I could do away with all of these without effort. It wasn't down to discipline, they just didn't appeal to me much but the story could be very different for someone else.
All that the individual may need is just one try and maybe one more before he's enslaved to one of Those habits and no amount of just quit Gambling or smoking would ever do.
Why? Because the environment interacts with everyone differently.
Genetically , we vary but it also goes along way in determining the things that will come naturally and things we would struggle to achieve .

Have you ever hated hearing a word with all of your being? Thats how much my friend, Bisola hated hearing the word, "Fat".
she was "a bit chubby","full","thick". That's me trying hard enough to avoid saying fat; That word is so mean. She had to run away, literally run from the temptation of good food.
She would eat once a day, go to the gym, patronize all sorts of weight loss products but those fatty acids were utterly resistant. Do i need to explain the depths of heartbreak Bisola would plummet into when a supposed friend utters that JUST word. That word shames all her effort at weight loss and brands her as a failure to her very self.

Of course most of these people who use the word 'JUST' to give advice are actually not aware of the effect this word has on the advicee. Sometimes they might just have your best interest in mind.
But isn't it just ironic the way their advice even makes you feel worse without them having the smidgen of a clue how much if mini-devils they're being and poor you, who may wish people knew how to just do something isn't as easy as it comes.
The Advice?
Before you decide to speak ,think. ..
Think about what the effects of those words regardless of intention. Words can hurt with wrong choice of words and timing.
