Why is the world nicer to females
We were sitted in class when one of our coursemates
walked in. It was 9a.m and the class had been slated
for 8am. The lecturer stopped and asked her why she
was late.
"I overslept sir, im sorry"...
It wasnt my business but her make-up was too perfect to have been done in a hurry.
"Why didn't you sleep early? Reading?"
She smiled and looked down.
I expected more scolding but instead;
"Plan your day better and dont come late again".
"Thank you sir" and with that she walked beaming to her seat.
Not quite 15 minutes after, another latecomer
popped in. I expected the same treatment but this
time, Mr.Lecturer just seemed way more upset. The
exchange even involved insults which threw the class into fits of laughter but also did embarass the victim...
Then it dawned on me that it wasnt like the 1st
person was in anyway better; it was just that she was a girl. And as for the 2nd, his only crime was that he was a boy. And since that moment i've wondered "Is the world nicer to females?
Why?"...
Is it the unlike poles attract thing?
That males are naturally more drawn to females; maybe cos they are the ones they can like, protect, Sleep with, dump; more or less.
But its not like the females in power are any nicer to the males.
Or is it that the men just want to feed their ego?? You know save-the-damsel-in-distress kinda thing. The females are the ones we're expected to care for, to protect, to buy things for, to tolerate bullshit from. Is it because they've been termed "The Weaker Sexes"?
This makes me want to agree with Chimamanda... Like
what is the essence of chivalry? Is it being nicer to females generally or to the female you have dibs on? And if it's the former, it only takes us back to the same question.
Wanna know the worst part?
Females bask in this situation. They love the attention, the care, the affection. It's why i mock feminism. All these females clamouring for gender equality just deceive themselves. Deep down, too many of them love the bias. The free rides, the undeserved passes, the favours, all of it; girls love it, they live for it.
I dont have the answer to my question, i dont know
if i ever will. But before i continue listening to this lecturer that has been talking for too long i'll say this: Everybody says its a man's world but if the males are living to please these females, then whose world is it?
