I remember talking to a friend about rape and
Half way into the conversation a girl walks in and I ask her to be a part of it.
I ask her, " if you visit a guy and he asks for sex and you decline with a resounding No But he proceeds to falsely persuade you into sex, have you being raped?
She smirks and says no.
Then I ask her again, under the Law, have you been raped? She says yes.
Her reply hit me....
Society does have it's laws on Rape.
Society says a man has a free shot at sex be it willfully or forced when he has spent a substantial sum of money on a woman.
Society says a lady shouldn't go around visiting men especially those she isn't exactly close to.
Society says don't keep late nights or get drunk
Society says don't wear skimpy revealing clothes and provoke men towards Rape.
Society is such a MISOGYNIST and the ironic part is society is all of us; each and everyone of us make up society.
We are all responsible for what we've become as a people.
Never feel comfortable in a conversation that supports rape in any form whatsoever; lets verbally rebuke anybody who glorifies rape with fancy phrases.
You forced her enough till she allowed you "willfully", you have raped her.
She said an outright No, but you falsely persuaded her, then you have raped her. Shocked? Yes...the Law says you have.
You made sure she was drunk enough? You have raped her because When she gets home she's engulfed with so much self-guilt and she would always remember how much she never wanted to but her body betrayed her...It's Double tragedy.
Dear boys, conclusively, let's all exhibit some measure of self control. You don't have to force sex to happen....
