The Motivation speaker Diss
I'm not a fan of motivational speakers, all kinds of them, especially the "aspire to inspire your ambition with motivation" kind.
To me,they are way up there with thieving pastors.
I understand that everyone is entitled to his own views no matter how assumably stupid, so here's mine.
I agree that everyone at some point needs some measure of reassurance, spur or appraisal but it shouldn't come from someone who feeds from your dire state.
I remember a certain motivational speech from my beloved Denzel Washington, he talked about his failures, and how they didn't define him bla bla bla.
It was quite the talk honestly but there's something I do know about overcoming a difficult time; we often forget exactly how difficult the hard time was. It's innate human nature.
Remember how it takes sickness to remember how good wellness feels and forgetting all over again when you become sick?
Or how you swear you're going to be prudent when money comes in broke times, only for you to wonder how the money you just received got finished?
What am I saying?
The only person to fully understand what you're going through or how you feel is you or someone equally suffering as well. Not a motivational speaker who primarily just likes to talk.
The sad truth about life is that everyone is primarily self first and at the end of it all, we are all we've got, ourselves!
"Inspiring to Aspiring your ambition with motivation" won't get you off being broke or make you happier or make you feel good about yourself.
Resilience will, Knowledge will, Making right friends will, God will.
