is kissing a sin before marriage?

Growing up, i would always say to myself that i wanted to stay a virgin till marriage.
Silly right? I know, but i really wanted to.

I was young and waiting to resume the university but i was totally without a clue on what awaits me.

Fast forward into a year and half in school .

As i walked in the dark, i had a stop and leaned on the wall of an old building, talking endlessly, i was cut short in the most pleasant of fashions, the feeling was a taste of the stars. Her cold and utterly soft lips graced mine and all i could do was say her name.
That was my first kiss
When all the euphoria had spiralled down and my spiritual consciousness awakened,  i began to question everything that had happened.

I wondered, "is kissing is a sin?" "Is God owkay with what just happened "
And so i put the question to a handful of friends and these are the replies

Alaska
"Kissing is not a sin per say. Its a prelude . It gets you to sin. It's the doorway to sin. Well, you can call it a sin but it's relative."
Junior
"Kissing is foreplay and foreplay is a component of sex . It's a sin coz we are always wanting more"
Calista
"It's not a sin.  Its only advisable you don't so you don't do other things that follow"
 Israel
"It is a sin. The bible says flee from every appearance of temptation and in proverbs 8, it says how can a man put burning coal on his stomach and not get hurt"
 Sarah
"It is a sin because it leads to uncontrollable emotions and end in premarital sex defiling the bed"
Destiny
"Kissing is not a sin. It's not stated anywhere in the bible that is. Fornication is because it is stated clearly"
Well, alot has been said but what do you think? Is kissing a sin before marriage?
