it wasn't my fault
Part 5
I began to ask myself questions , why am i pretty? Why am i intelligent? I never asked for any of these. The more the thoughts came in the more it felt like it was all my fault, I mean if my mom could think it was my fault why should I think otherwise? She probably loves me as much as i love myself , she wouldn't want me to feel bad.
My Dad came home that evening to hear my mom shouting at me calling me all sorts of names. He tried to calm her down but she wouldn't give in. She called me a slut that i couldn't stay in one place and that all i could think about was where to go next.
At night, My Dad came to my room trying to explain that Mom was just angry at the situation and not me and she didn't mean anything she was saying . I just listened to all He had to say but what i really wanted to hear him say is that it wasn't my fault but he never said that.
Before Dawn the next day, i left my home and never looked back...
In Today's Society, Rape is a popular vice eating deep. Too many females are being raped irrespective of age and it is sickening.
A common psychological problem that follows is these victims is the self guilt, They blame themselves for been in the right place at the wrong time or the wrong place at the right time. It's sad that society throws little blame to perpetuators.
Let the Society blame the Rapist and not the victims. To Rape means "TO FORCE SEXUAL INTERCOURSE OR OTHER SEXUAL ACTIVITY UPON SOMEONE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT" I don't know how society works, the world is just a messed up place where everyone wants their opinion to be heard regardless if it lives up to meaning. Even if the person is a slut, a stripper or whatever, nobody deserves to be raped.
To all victims out there, IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. irrespective of your age,sex or job, IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. Irrespective of what you wear or where you go, IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. Don't let anyone drag you down to believe you were to blame.
You're stronger than you think you are,
Don't let anyone make you weak .
And most importantly, do not drown in the mistakes of this world.
And remember,
IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT.
