CURE THE NIGHT By Harry Ubhi

PROLOGUE

He arose from within the dark shadows, cast by the huge trees, denying the poor earth of the light of the moon. His gaze was like fire, his breadth so audible it can wake a sleeping infant. Finally, he was away from the shadows, standing under the moonlight, surrounded by the trees, it was quiet but not for long, he could hear them, multiple miles away, coming closer…. Closer… their feet like chariots, their speed unmatchable and with a blink, they were here, five men like he was, all dressed in their cloak, hooded, their faces covered by the darkness, their red eyes shone from within the hood.
He looked at them, one before another, smelling their wrath
“why are we here?” He spoke, his voice thunderous
“you know why we have come” one replied
“you know very much” another replied
“I told you they will be a threat” the fourth said
“we need to strike”
“the time is now!”
“let’s redeem ourselves”
“they disgrace us”
The men speaking in their thunderous voice, kept quiet for once, their gaze on him once more. He snarled, as he looked at the moon, its rays hitting the earth like a fluorescence.
“let the war begin!” he said, this time with a roar!.
